IBAS GO AS SOL TO A DECLINE OF GLORY

Let's start fixing our gaze and attention on events tell us that the Holy Gospels: "At that time, Jesus came to Jerusalem, arriving in Bethpage, before the Mount of Olives then sent two of his disciples, saying," Go into the village ahead of you, and soon find a donkey tied, and her colt with her: loose them and bring them to me here. And if anyone says something, you will reply that the Lord hath need, and to the point you leave him. All this happened in fulfillment of what the Prophet said: Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee meek, sitting on a donkey and her colt, the son of which is accustomed to the yoke. Having been the and made disciples as Jesus commanded, and brought the donkey and her colt, and saddled with his clothes, and made him sit up. And a large crowd of people stretched out on the way his clothes, and others cut branches from trees and spread them on the road. And the crowd went before and those who followed cried after saying Hosamna the Son of David, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord " (Mt 21, 1-9).

This was the Sunday before the Passover of the Lord, on the road from Bethpage, on top of Mount of Olives near Bethany, where lived the friends of the Lord, 'Martha, Mary and Lazarus, to the holy city of Jerusalem. The Lord went on a triumphant tour, which only he knew its true meaning, totally ignored by those who accompanied him and by those who cheered him: were going as the sun goes to a decline of glory, singing and singing your death is your victory . But you are the King, the Lord, the Mighty God, Life, reborn from the bottom of the death (Hymn to Christ the King).

Today we, by sheer grace and enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, we follow the Lord in the way of life, accompanied by accompanying him or leaving him with a clear conscience that the ultimate meaning of existence is to direct our steps toward the holy city of Jerusalem, the Jerusalem above is free, that is our mother (Gal 4, 26). The example and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ illuminate our path, put us on guard and preserve us from succumbing to the temptations of false success, to sell to flattery, to let us suggestible to the idols of power, fame and search worldly glory as a fad that fades away and vanishes with us: You reduce man to dust and say, 'Go back, sons of Adam. " A thousand years in your sight are yesterday happened, a candle at night. The planting years per year, like grass that is renewed, that flourishes and is renewed in the morning and afternoon mowing and dried (Psalm 89).

To enter the heavenly Jerusalem, we first down and down from the mountain of pride, vanity and pride, to walk without stopping, without deviating from the path, with an eye on the goal-the heavenly Jerusalem - and the heart for God. Once you've downloaded, then we must ascend to the holy city for the arduous path of virtue: to come back for the hardships of obedience to Him from whom you had departed by the negligence of your disobedience (Prologue to the Rule of St. Benedict).

not only sobering examples of Jesus are also illuminating his words and warnings: Oh when all men speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the false prophets! (Lk 6, 26). Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter against you all kinds of evil for my sake. Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets before you (Mt 5, 11-12). How are you going to believe you, if what you care about is receiving honors from each other and not you who care about the real honor comes from God unique? (Jn 5, 44).

Jesus did not act looking for false praise, or approval of others, and the glory of men I seek not my glory. There is one who cares about that, and it is he who can judge (Jn 8, 50) If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing. My Father is the one who glorifies me, who you say is your God, and do not know, I, however, I know " (Jn 8, 54-55). In this spirit stars in the Lord his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. There is a new spirit in him, but he moved during his life and at the hour of his Passion and Death. This has to be therefore, the very spirit of the followers of Christ.

Keep us in humility, because the Lord wants us humble as exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the premise and principle of spiritual life, the starting point for progress on the path of our sanctification. Let us contemplate Jesus Christ, God being not considered to be clinging to the prerogatives of his divine status, but on the contrary, he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, and becoming like men. Well, actually one of them, he humbled himself and becoming obedient to death, death on a cross. Therefore God exalted above all things and gave him the name which is above every name, that the name of Jesus every knee bend in heaven, on earth and under the earth, and all publicly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Phil 2: 6-11).

The children of the Hebrews, carrying olive branches, went to meet the Lord, crying and saying. "Glory in the heights" (Antiphon 1 st) The children of the Jews spread their garments on the road and cried: "Glory to the Son of David: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" (Refrain 2 ª).

How and who formed such a procession around the Lord, prompting them to glorify and exalt his name? How to explain such a proceeding?: This is what was said by the Prophet Joel: "It will happen in the last days, saith God, I pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and prophesy your sons and your daughters, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on My maidservants I will pour out my Spirit in those days and they will prophesy " (cf. Joel 3, 1-2, Acts 2, 16-18).

The Spirit of the Lord moved Jesus, urging him to seek the glory of God and do the redemption of mankind surrendering voluntarily to death, is the same Spirit that raised the children of the Hebrews the songs of glory and praise and recognition of Jesus as Son of David and sent by the Lord to the house of Israel. Unlike the priests, the doctors of the law and Pharisees, all law-abiding and knowledgeable of the prophets, have become blind guides (cf. Mt 15, 14). The early moves and pushes the Spirit of the Lord - The wind blows where it wishes and you hear his voice, but do not know where it comes or whither it goeth: so is all born of the Spirit (Jn 3, 8). The latter, on the contrary, offer resistance to the Spirit of God, self-guided and blinded by their own arrogance are disabled to recognize and receive the Messiah sent by the Prophet who said: Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold that thy King cometh unto thee meek, sitting on a donkey and her colt, the son of which is accustomed to the yoke (Zech 9.9).

Only when we allow ourselves to be possessed and led by the Spirit of God are of God, we have the guarantee of being able to recognize Christ and to access your salvation who is of God hears the words of God, and so you do not hear because are not of God (Jn 8, 47).

The heads of the people do not recognize Jesus or accept their testimony because they live closed to the Holy Spirit, tenacious in seeking his own glory, honor-obsessed men receive, concentrated on themselves. God is no longer for them to last, with the blasphemous claim to make God a means to serve their own ends. It is the glory of God what they want, but the glory of themselves and the false glory of Israel: a worldly glory, power, force, domination, excellence. Have been left blinded by passion, by the earthly triumph, by lust and everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life, not from the Father but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust, but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 Jn 2, 16-17) This is precisely what blinds them and prevents recognize the Messiah and Saviour sent by God. So they have to hear the harsh rebuke of Jesus: passionately you study the Scriptures, thinking to find eternal life in them-well, also the Scriptures speak of me, and yet, you refuse to accept to have eternal life (Jn 5, 39-40).

not enough study and reading of the Scriptures; it becomes ineffective if one does not begin to recognize the depth of their misery, if not truly longs to be saved by God, if you have not taken the passionate pursuit of Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life (Jn 14, 6 .) The Scriptures become illegible and incomprehensible when the soul and intelligence are not enlightened and guided by the light of the Spirit of the Lord. The Spirit does not enlighten those hearts who insist on close to their action. It is the Spirit who bears witness for Christ to accept him as Lord and Savior, having our souls to receive his compassionate action: came to Nazareth, where he grew up. As usual, came into the synagogue on Saturday and stood up to read. He was handed the book of Isaiah and, to unroll and found the passage where it is written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and give sight to the blind, to liberate the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord. Then rolled up the scroll, gave it to the attendant and sat down. All who were in the synagogue had their eyes fixed on him. And he began to say: Today we have fulfilled the scripture passage you have just heard (Lk 4, 16 - 21).

Give us, Lord, poor heart, awakens in us a sincere desire to experience your release, make us able to recognize our blindness and desire light, be able to discern the oppression of sin and evil in our life and exercise strongly crave the power of your grace!

Concédenoslo for your Passion, by your death and resurrection! Mary Concédenoslo by your graceful, your faithful partner, your mother and our mother!
O Christ, You are the good news! You're the only freedom! You are the Light! O Lord, sent by the Father for our salvation! Blessed You who come in the name of the Lord!

the road Jesus embarks from atop the Mount of Olives is not new, since it confirms his life story, but it is irreversible. Is the way of humiliation that would culminate in exaltation, defeat path that will take the win, way off that burst into light, cross road in resurrection dawn. His way is the way of delivery and death brings us all Life.

Hail, our King, Son of David, who predicted the Prophets as the savior of the house of Israel, sent by the Father to the world as a victim of salvation, who hoped the holy and righteous from the origin of the world, and now hailed saying, Glory to the Son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Glory in the heights (Antiphon 7 th).

accompany Jesus clothed in humility, pursued with courage and determination on our way, putting our feet in his footprints. Let's go down with him from atop the mountain and then go up to the Holy City. Find breath and breathe in the beauty of her face, strong in its infinite majesty, decision, courage, guidance in their life and words of comfort in your sweet heart.

Let Him! Let's go with Jesus to Jerusalem!
