CHRIST IS RISEN! CHRIST IS OUR LIFE AND OUR LIGHT!

EASTER VIGIL TOLEDO.

2011 Dear Brothers:

We began this solemn Easter Vigil with the blessing of new fire out of flint. Christ is the flint!, Christ is the rock, the stone rejected by the architects, but placed by the Father as the cornerstone of the new and true temple of God, the Church. Moreover, He is the cornerstone of the whole universe, of everything that exists and was created, because He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, and theirs are the times and ages; To Him glory and dominion for ever and all eternity. Through him, his beloved Son, the Father has told us the flame of charity, the flame of divine love, which is a merciful and infinite love.

If Jesus Christ has been placed as a cornerstone as the foundation and foundation, then we have to fear. For believers in Christ are over all the dizziness and existential fears. It no longer fear the risks of their own existence, or the uncertainty of the afterlife. There is no fear of failure, nor to the limitations and frustrations that we experience in this world. And no fear, because Christ is the force, is the cornerstone, the foundation on which we stand every one of us. He is the cornerstone that supports the building of our daily lives. We can therefore say with the Psalmist: All day I step on my enemies, many who attack me from above. The day I fear, trust in thee. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust and I'm not scared, what can you do me a mortal? (...) I know that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise, in God I trust and I'm not scared, what can you do me a mortal? (See Psalm 56). It is true that the Father spared not his Son to death, but he was there also endorsing the conditions and suffering of the beloved Son, and finally gave him the victory over el pecado, sobre el Mal y sobre la misma muerte. (1Jn 5, 4-5).

Contemplating Christ's victory shows us the path to find our own success, that road is simply to base our lives on him, hand over your heart, reflect their love and trust, always trust, even in the midst of the largest trials and difficulties, even amid the darkest night of our spirit, and especially when we atenace pain, as tears do not leave us when we have to drink the bitter cup of contempt of others, of betrayal of friend of the ingratitude of those whom we've done well, when we are abandoned, misunderstood, unloved or correspondence. On all these occasions and always remember Who is our foundation, the One who sustains us, who never fails and He is faithful unto death, because it can not contradict Himself, even though we unfortunately did not we remained faithful (cf. 2 Timothy 2, 13). About Jesus Christ and the certainty of unconditional love we build our lives every day: "Christ Jesus who died, even more, which raised, who is on the right hand of God, who intercedes for us . Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (...) But in all these things we overcome by one who loved us "(Rom 8, 34 - 37).

With the new fire is kindled the flame of the paschal candle and he have come to light your lamps in them the flame. The candle represents Christ victorious, Christ Light of the world, Christ triumphed over the darkness of death. The fire, flame and light mean Christ and his victory. The candles we make in our hands they mean to us. If not we come to Christ we have no fire, no light. Without Christ, everything is cold and dark. But, is that we have not been created for the darkness or to chill. It turns out that in the depths of our soul emerges from the cold rejection and darkness. We are made to the warmth of love and the light of goodness and truth. We are made for Christ! We are made to be God and enjoy God! Christ is our joy! Christ is our Light! Christ is the heat which gives life to our souls.

With the light of the resurrection God has illuminated the pain, suffering and suffering of Christ. And with that same light also wants to enlighten each and every one of the darkness of our lives and our being: "True is the word:" If you suffer with Him, He shall live also. If we suffer with Him, He shall reign "(2 Tim 11-12)
In this holy night, the most clearly every night, night clear as day, night lit by the Sun of Justice, are asked to put our whole life in the light of Christ. Let us light ourselves in welcoming us to the Risen Christ. If he can enlighten us to be bearers of light to illuminate the world with the clarity of his love: "You are the light of the world" (Mt 5, 14).

Resurrection light illuminates our understanding and makes us understand the power and wisdom of God, because in effect, the evil has been flooded and destroyed by the power of good, the lie has been exposed to the strength of Truth, the resentments have been dissipated by the power of forgiveness incendiary flames of hatred have been off with the torrents of love. Do we understand truly the extent of the victory of Christ? The Resurrection of Christ is a much greater miracle than the resurrection of the dead. It is a full-fledged victory! A victory also is and will forever be ours if we build our lives on the corner stone and let us turn and enlightened by the light of the Risen Lord, by the light of His love and His Grace. Dear

, Christ is risen! Christ is our life and light! No longer live for ourselves but for Him who died and rose again for us (cf. 2 Cor 5, 15). "Lay aside, therefore, the works of darkness and clothe the armor of light "(Rom 13, 12).
Queen of Heaven and Mother of all men, rejoice, for your Son has risen. Receive all our love and gratitude, as we came through You the One who is our light and life. Always pray to God for us. Amen

* P. Manuel Maria de Jesus
